Uniform

‘Schoolblazer Ltd’ is the provider for all compulsory uniform items at St John’s College, Cardiff, and ‘Playerlayer’ for our sports kit. Both companies operate via an online service and offer excellent customer service to our parents.

Please find below further details for each of our suppliers, both offering a bespoke online ordering experience with an easy to follow selection and ordering process. Full details of uniform requirements for different year groups are given on each purchase portal.

Ordering from SchoolBlazer

  • All garments arrive fully name-tagged utilising permanently printed tags. These tags are sewn on at no extra cost; although the company does charge a nominal cost for the tags.
  • An “intelligent sizing system” guides parents in size selection to ensure garments fit the first time.
  • Uniform is delivered via DPD with a normal turnaround time of 1-2 days, no longer than 3. A 24-hour Fastrack service is also available for items that do not require name-tagging.
  • Returns are free of charge via the Post Office.

  • Select the ‘TEAMS, UNIS, SCHOOLS’ option from the top menu
  • Type St John’s College Cardiff in the box; the School name will then appear in a list to select
  • Navigate the site accordingly for the desired item(s): – Each item has an image and detailed description. – An extensive size guide is also available to ensure you order the correct size
  • Add items to shopping cart
  • Complete secure payment
  • Your sports kit will be delivered to your specified address – various delivery options available

    Eco Wear

    Eco Wear is a pupil-led charity that provides parents of students at SJC with quality-checked, second-hand, low-cost school uniforms. Originally created as a marketplace back in 2020 for parents to sell pre-loved and affordable uniforms to each other, Eco Wear then grew as we began selling the school’s old ‘stash’ of long-lost uniforms. Today, we are selling these uniforms with a website and an app, alongside our parents' marketplace. Our aim is to reduce the amount of new uniforms being manufactured, sold and disposed of incorrectly. We try to do this by encouraging the sale and use of second-hand uniforms in order to gradually minimise the waste caused by uniforms. In addition, a fraction of profits will also be donated to an Eco-charity, such as Keep Wales Tidy, this means that an Eco-initiative will also benefit other environmentally-friendly charities.
