F1 in Schools Success for St John’s College Teams
On Wednesday 29th January St John’s College entered two teams for the regional finals of the F1 in Schools competition at Swansea Waterfront Museum. The members of team Stratos and team Velocity worked very hard over several months to prepare an exhibition, twenty page portfolio, a five minute presentation and the all important model F1 car for racing. The car was designed using CAD software (Autodesk) before being made at the Bridgend Waterton centre supported by EESW.
Team Stratos designed the second fastest car of the day and were highly commended for their display, folio and presentation.
Thank you to Morgan Cole and Belief who kindly sponsored this year’s teams.
Team Stratos members: Mattew Westlake, Shaun Malloy, Natalie Lloyd Gale, Natasha Sturrock, Feyi Ajayi and Hannah Son.
Team Velocity members: Dafydd Skelton, Dafydd Evans, Tom McCann, Sam Xerri and Richard D-S.
If you would like to be involved in F1 in Schools, we meet every Tuesday lunchtime in room 3.5.
