UKMT Team Challenge Final
On Monday, June 17th a team of four pupils from St John’s College participated in the UKMT Team Maths Challenge National Final held at Lindley Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls, Westminster. Our team had already won the regional final and were looking forward to competing (some again) on the National stage.
The pupils were excited but maintained their composure well – realising we were the only team from Wales that had reached this prestigious event. They benefited from the hard work they had already put in for the poster round and competed enthusiastically and strongly in the other rounds.
We finished 44th out of 88 competitors – an outstanding achievement when the list of all competitors is critically assessed. The Maths department and the school are very proud indeed of all the hard work and effort the pupils put in.
The team were Crina C, Harshita A, Abhijeet A-K and Anish C.
Well Done all
