On Monday 3 November, Nursery to R13 gathered to celebrate our Harvest Festival. We were treated to music from the Concert Orchestra, the R14 music ensemble and the Junior Girls’ Choir.
All year groups were involved and worked hard to ensure its success – the Infants sang about the farmer scattering his seeds (complete with actions) to ensure we had a harvest to collect, while the Juniors explained what happened when the farmers collect the crops and why we celebrate. Meanwhile, the Seniors read out Psalms in praise of God and the Good News from Matthew.
We also filled our bare branch with autumnal leaves full of spiritual gifts that we could share with others to celebrate the harvest of our talents at St John’s. Thank you to everyone who read or played and for all the produce that was so generously sent in to share with the community in St Cadoc’s and St John Lloyd parishes.
