On Tuesday 20th October, children from the Infant and Junior departments joined with the Middle School for our annual Harvest Festival. The service included lovely hymns by the infants and the Girls’ Choir, who were accompanied superbly by Menglin on the violin. The students contributed with readings, poetry and a short reflection on the importance of giving thanks and sharing with others. The Infants performed a song about how seeds are planted, while pupils from R10-R13 offered beautiful readings and the Junior Girls’ Choir gave a lovely performance of ‘Look at the World’.
The service concluded with prayers and a rousing rendition of ‘All things bright and beautiful’ and a final blessing from Fr. Gray, who kindly joined us from his busy schedule at St Cadoc’s. The children brought in a very generous amount of food (two truckloads) for those in our community who are struggling at this time and we would like to thank all parents and guardians for their continued support of this invaluable charitable work. All the food is distributed locally by a hard-working team at St Cadoc’s and our thanks also go to them.
