Junior Sports Day
This year saw a fantastic annual Junior Sports Day, which was held on the 4th July 2016. All pupils greatly enjoyed themselves and worked so hard to win their house points.
This year the pupils were introduced to high jump and long jump master classes. Sinead commented “this year’s sports day was so much fun as we had so many activities to do”. Dylan J displayed excellent commentating skills.
The winning house this year, with an amazing 440 points and who took home the cup, was Mostyn house.
Thank you to all parents, pupils, friends and staff of St John’s College, for your support at the last three Sports days held at the National Indoor Stadium Cardiff. It has been wonderful to share the successes of our young athletes and we are most grateful for the wonderful feedback we have received.
Pupils, staff and parents were actively involved in all three sports days, reflecting a great deal of team cohesion.
Mrs Thompson (Head of Juniors) and Welsh Swimming Champion, Cerys Coley (L6th) presented the medals at Junior Sports Day and the winning house trophy was presented by Mrs J Cooke on her very last Junior Sports Day.
Well done to Mostyn House who won both the Junior and Senior sports days. Thank you to our dedicated and exceptional team of staff. What a fantastic way to end the term!
