Senior Sports Day
On Friday 1st July we held our annual Senior Sports Day. The pupils competed in a number of traditional athletic events. Throughout the day the level of sportsmanship on show was outstanding. All pupils give 100% and can be very proud of themselves. The tug of war proved to be one of the most popular events as always, with pupils battling to earn points for their house. A special mention must go to our champion athletes (most medals won) for Alex C and Georgia W. Congratulations also to the winning house, Mostyn. The athletes in Mostyn house worked exceptionally hard throughout the day, giving them a clear first place. Well done to all houses on what was a fantastic day of sport.
Thank you to all parents, pupils, friends and staff of St John’s College, for your support at the last three Sports days held at the National Indoor Stadium Cardiff. It has been wonderful to share the successes of our young athletes and we are most grateful for the wonderful feedback we have received.
Pupils, staff and parents were actively involved in all three sports days, reflecting a great deal of team cohesion.
We were honoured that Mrs Neville presented our medals along with former British 100m sprint athlete, Darren Campbell MBE, Mrs R Hart (Headteacher) and Mrs Jayne Smerald (Chair of Trustees) at our Senior Sports Day.
