R12-R13 Summer Reading Challenge 2016

Congratulations to all R12 and R13 pupils who participated in the St John’s College Summer Reading Challenge. There was an exciting repertoire of literature read, with most of the pupils exceeding the minimum requirement of three books.

However, the top three winners were: Harri Thomas (R12) in third place, who read five books; in joint second place were Jamie Lawrence and Ji-Eun Kang (both R12), reading six books each; but in first place was Sruthi Gowthan (R12) who read eight books over the summer. Each was given a certificate, bookmark and a book to suit their reading tastes.

It was a very close end result, indeed! Well done to everyone who participated. Let’s hope next year’s Reading Challenge will be as successful.

Fervent readers will enjoy our next reading challenge in February: Readathon.
