L6 Geography Trip
On Monday 10 October, our Lower Sixth Geography students went on a trip to Pwll Du Bay beach on the Gower to undertake their physical geography investigation.
The beach is particularly interesting to study due to its shingle ridge, as well as the processes of longshore drift operating along the shoreline.
The group gathered data to find out how the beach profile changes from one end of the beach to the other. We also took measurements to compare the size of sediment at each end of the beach.
Both the students’ hard work and the lovely bright weather made the day a great success.
