Sixth Form Enrichment Economics Lecture

Sixth formers with eminent economist, Gerry Holtham

On Wednesday 19 October, our sixth formers were delighted to join members of the Oxford University Society of South Wales for a highly informative and stimulating lecture.  The lecture was entitled ‘What are the economic opportunities for Wales?’ and was given by the eminent economist, Gerry Holtham.

Gerry Holtham is the Julian Hodge Professor of Regional Economy at Cardiff Metropolitan University. He was formerly CIO at Morley Fund Management, the UK’s second largest active fund manager, chaired the Independent Commission on Funding and Finance for Wales and was adviser to Wales’ Minister of Finance. He was formerly a Fellow of Magdalen College Oxford.

We are very grateful to the Oxford University Society of South Wales for offering this outstanding opportunity to our students.

Mr J. Neville
