At the end of last half-term, the Junior Department celebrated Grandparents’ Week. Over the course of the week the pupils completed various tasks to recognise the importance of the roles of our grandparents in our lives today. These activities included writing prayers, interviewing grandparents, researching the family tree, writing poems and even recipes for perfect grandparents!
The pupils invited their grandparents to come into school to see all their beautiful work, to share an assembly of celebration and to enjoy a cup of tea and a cake. We had a huge number of visitors and I would like to thank everyone for their time and generous donations of cakes. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the donations towards ‘Action for Hunger,’ raising £150 for this worthy cause.
I think the pupils had a lot of fun, there were certainly many happy faces and memories shared.
