Daniel S is Praised by The Royal Astronomical Society for Achieving 100% in GCSE Astronomy
GCSE Astronomy Student, Daniel S, has been recognised by The Royal Astronomical Society for his amazing academic achievement at GCSE Astronomy. Congratulations to Daniel for his outstanding performance in the 2016 GCSE Astronomy exam and controlled assessment. From a possible 200 marks Daniel gained all 200 marks! Furthermore he has come in the top 12 students nationally in the Edexcel GCSE Astronomy course.
Permission and support for this exciting but very demanding extra-curricular qualification was given by the late Dr David Neville in 2004, who himself had an interest in Astronomy.
This two year course which forms part of our pupil enrichment provision has generated around 30 A*/A results, with an overall 100% pass rate (B-*A) since the first exam in 2008.
Again, many congratulations to Daniel Siromani for his outstanding effort and achievement.
