The R11/12 Football team produced an outstanding performance this afternoon in challenging weather conditions at the Leckwith Stadium against Fitzalan High. St John’s took an early lead through Rohan O and doubled their lead within two minutes with a neat finish from Adi S. Fitzalan pulled one back just before half time. Shortly after the halftime break Fitzalan drew level and the game was evenly balanced. St John’s restored the lead with some good work from Llyr B-P forcing an own goal. Fitzalan were not willing to give up and again drew level. The game developed a frantic tempo and both teams were going for the victory. With five minutes remaining St John’s were on top Llyr B-P emphatically finished a through ball to give St John’s a 4-3 advantage and Jack P finished off the move of the game with practically the last kick of the game. Final score St John’s 5-3 Fitzalan High. Congratulations to all involved. Mr Tertois
