On Thursday afternoon the R12 pupils played in the Year 7 County tournament.

Harshita was the chosen captain for the afternoon and provided excellent motivation and encouragement prior to the start of each game. The girls competed against Whitchurch, Glantaf and St Teilo’s. The first game was against Whitchurch. Whitchurch was leading at halftime by two goals. Gabrielle gave some positive encouragement at half-time and the girls went on to win six goals to five. An excellent start to the tournament. The next game saw the pupils beat St Teilo’s seven goals to three. The last game of the day was against a very tough Glantaf team and unfortunately the girls lost nine goals to three.

All girls played extremely well with some excellent interceptions and passing down the court. Harshita and Carys partnered up extremely well and shot some great goals. Congratulations to Carys, Harshita and Katie who received player of the match. A big thank you to Gabrielle who helped coach and support the girls.
