Cog Moors Waterworks
As part of their Geography topic ‘Feeding the World’ R9 visited Cog Moors Waterworks where they experienced living in an African village. They experienced having to carry out typical chores, and experienced the long journey that some African children have to walk to collect safe water. The children were also able to carry out experiments such as evaporating salt water and took part in a competition to see which group could successfully filter water using a variety of materials.
The children (and adults) thoroughly enjoyed this trip and look forward to visiting again in R10!
