R9 History Visit to Llancaiach Fawr Manor
R9 enthusiastically dressed up as Tudors for our trip to Llancaich Fawr Manor. We had many servants with us for the day, not to mention a few ladies and a couple of King Henry VIIIs!
The visit comprised guided tours round the manor house led by ladies and men who were also not only dressed as Tudors but who spoke like them too. The children learnt a great deal to enhance their history studies and even made plague bags filled with herbs to ward off nasty diseases! As well as the tour we were treated to a session of finding out about children in Tudor times that included the chance to play some games outside.
R9 were very interested in the whole day and asked excellent questions of the servants at the manor.
