A Visit from Mr Morgan
On Friday, we were delighted to welcome Mr Morgan, (father of Iwan in R7). He talked to the Infant children about cycling from London to Paris in aid of Parkinson’s UK. The children looked at his bike and all the safety equipment, they thought the lights were very bright. Some of the children participated in a demonstration using batteries to show how a bigger battery meant they could move faster. This helped them to understand how Parkinson’s slows down the body and movements.
The children have already raised over £400 for Parkinson’s Uk through their sponsored silence in March. Mr Morgan is training for his next cycle ride in September which is also in aid of Parkinson’s UK. He aims to cycle from Paris to Geneva through the Alps. The Infant staff would like to say a huge thank you, for such an informative talk. The children were really interested, listening carefully and asking lots of questions.
