R5, R6 and R7 visit to St Cadoc’s Church
R5, R6 and R7 visited St Cadoc’s Church for the traditional May ceremony ‘The Crowning of Mary’. The procession was led by Talia, Nell and Henry with every child presenting a flower. R7 had written their own prayers to Mary which they read out beautifully. The prayers were very thoughtful and from the children’s hearts. We sang several hymns including ‘Bring flowers of the rarest’.
We were also delighted to be joined by Mr Morgan who teaches RE and philosophy. The children asked him some very challenging questions about God, heaven and free will! We may have a few future philosophers amongst R6 and R7. Thank you to Mrs Brodie for organising this event and to Mrs Cooper for accompanying the children’s lovely singing on the piano.
