Junior Book Week
The Junior Book Week took place from the 30 September to the 4 October. All pupils designed a front cover from a book and we had some outstanding entries, with well deserved vouchers going to the winning pupils to spend at the Book Fair. At the latter end of the week the Book Fair was open to all after school and it was well stocked with a variety of books for all ages along with fun stationery!
Jeffrey wrote ‘I enjoyed the Book Fair because there were loads of books to choose from.’ Ella E wrote ‘I enjoyed going to the Book Fair because there is lots of choice and they are all fun.’ Millie wrote ‘I liked the book fair because you were able to find a perfect book and there was stationery available for people who were running short.’
For a fantastic end to book week on Friday 4 October the Junior School welcomed back Enid, the Welsh Storyteller. Enid tells each year group original and captivating stories – all pupils were thoroughly entertained.
Eleri wrote ‘I thought Enid’s story was spooky and exciting. It was very interesting and I would love her to come back next year.’ Theo wrote ‘It was a great story that I had never heard before. I would love to hear one again.’ Oscar wrote ‘I thought that Enid’s story was awesome!’
Thank you for supporting the Book Fair and happy reading!
