Readathon is an event that helps three charities for seriously ill children: CLIC Sargent, Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and Together for Short Lives.
Our annual Readathon took place the week before and during October half term. R12-R14 pupils were set the onerous challenge of reading as many books as possible and gaining sponsorship for their efforts.
The amount of money raised varied considerably amongst our pupils. There were a few high earners, in particular, who shone with their valiant efforts. The largest amount risen was £111 by Chloe Borek in R14, the second highest was Richard Discombe-Short in R13 who raised £60 and in third place was Isabelle Lugsdin in R12, who raised £39.50. There were also numerous pupils who had raised varying amounts between £20-40 – well done to you all.
Our total amount overtook last year’s remarkable efforts, an impressive £667.70. Well done to all R12-R14 pupils who took part!
