    R13 were treated to a Shakespeare workshop today where they read a scene from ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and analysed the characters and their behaviour.     Many congratulations to our pupils Ji-Eun K, Luke V and Harshita A who took part in the Junior Maths Challenge. Luke V achieved a gold certificate along with Best in Class, Best in Year and Best in School. This wonderful achievement meant that Luke was the only pupil in R13 that was invited to sit the follow-up ‘Kangaroo’ paper, which is a far more mathematically rigorous challenge.…

    On Monday 3 November, Nursery to R13 gathered to celebrate our Harvest Festival.  We were treated to music from the Concert Orchestra, the R14 music ensemble and the Junior Girls’ Choir. All year groups were involved and worked hard to ensure its success – the Infants sang about the farmer scattering his seeds (complete with actions) to ensure we had a harvest to collect, while the Juniors explained what happened when the farmers collect the crops and why we celebrate. …

    Congratulations to all R12 and R13 pupils who participated in the St John’s Summer Reading Challenge. There was an impressive range of literature read and those who took part exceeded the minimum requirement of books. The top three winners were: Harry J (R13) in third place, who read 14 books; Jacob V (R12) in second place, reading an impressive 16 books; but in first place was last year’s Reading Challenge Champion, Holly Jones (R13), who read a staggering 28 books over the summer!…
