  • R11 Enterprise Week

    In October, R11 experienced the world of work for a week.  They used their English, Maths, ICT and creative skills to run their own businesses, taking on roles such as financial director, marketing manager etc.  For four days, room 3.1 became a hub of creative ideas which transformed art and craft materials into Christmas cards, door hangars, puppets, pompom pets (a firm favourite with our Infant Department) and so much more. …

  • Welsh Department Theatre Visit

    On Monday 14th October, the pupils studying the Welsh A level course visited the Millennium Centre along with their teachers to watch a Welsh language production called Wyneb Dros Dro. We met beforehand to converse and practise our Welsh in a different learning environment. The play dealt with modern family life and current issues and had a very interesting twist at the end to say the least!…

    Congratulations to Charles (R12) who is one of only 20 boys selected for the squad out of the more than 200 who trialled from across South Wales. Charles will have a busy training schedule each week at the House of Sport next to the Cardiff City Stadium and at the Academy in Treforest and play regular matches. …

    The Junior Book Week took place from the 30 September to the 4 October. All pupils designed a front cover from a book and we had some outstanding entries, with well deserved vouchers going to the winning pupils to spend at the Book Fair.
