    On Tuesday 26 May, the Welsh department took a group of R15’s to the Caerphilly Urdd Eisteddfod in half term. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed their day as they immersed themselves into the Welsh culture in the beautiful sun.     On Friday 22nd May, R10 visited Cog Moors where we learnt more about the water cycle. R10 carried out lots of fun activities; favourites included making our own mini water cycle and making our own reservoirs.   • R12 Gamelan Music Trip – St David’s Hall

    All three classes in R12 visited St David’s Hall this week to take part in a Gamelan workshop. The session introduced pupils to the music of Java and they were able to play a variety of elaborate instruments made of bronze with traditional hand finished woodcarvings. Pupils were actively involved throughout the workshop and enjoyed group music-making.…

  • Joe S (R14) Rowing Victory in Ball Cup Regatta

    On 10th May, Joe S (R14) represented Cardiff and Vale Schools Rowing Academy (CVSRA) in the Ball Cup Regatta at Eton Dorney. Joe’s quad raced against eight other teams from across the UK. Joe’s quad won and beat Monkton Combe who were said to be the best quad in Britain for the age group.  …
