    A peer-to-peer reading session this term with all Junior pupils has proved a great success. The drive to improve reading levels permeates throughout the Juniors. During this session the older R11/R10 pupils listened to the younger R9/R8 pupils read, modelling the one-to-one reading process normally conducted by staff. We have been learning all about Heavy and light in our Abacus maths activities, learning the sound ‘m’, having fun learning the names of different vegetables and celebrating Pancake day.     Tredegar House reopened this week after its winter renovations. R10 pupils were treated to several new additions such as Lady Morgan’s post box as well as enjoying the house’s usual delights! They learnt all about the Morgan Family. This year, the guides gave the children an insight into the lives of the Morgan women – giving them a “her-story” as well as “history”.…

    Congratulations to our R12&13 Hockey squad who played tremendously well on Monday night vs Bishop of Llandaff High School, Cardiff. Our players won three of their matches 1-0, 3-0, 1-0 and drew one 1-1.  The pupils were very tactical and skilful in their support play.  Well done to Pablo and Harry who were both voted players’ player of the match by our opponents The Squad: Luisa, Ben, Isel, Harshita, Elizabeth, Tomos, Harry, Pablo, Ananya, Poppy, Nadia and Zahara…

  • Techniquest and Shrove Tuesday in the Nursery and Infants

    R6 and R7 visited Techniquest as part of their Science topics, Pushes and Pulls and Forces and Movement. The children were thrilled to try all the different experiments but their favourite was the water area.
