  • Senior School Eisteddfod

    Senior School pupils had a superb time at the school Eisteddfod this year.  Pupils competed in numerous competitions throughout the morning and were very keen to be part of the winning house!  The morning started with a quiz between our houses with Mostyn as winners. Amongst other competitions were the R12 and R13 Welsh Choir Competition (Winners – St David’s), the R13 Welsh Individual Recitation (Winner – Dylan J), sports competitions and musical performances by a range of pupils from R12-15.…

  • Techniquest Visit

    On April 4th, Techniquest visited the Junior School to inform our pupils about  Material Magic. Viscous liquids and Non-Newtonian fluids were among the many demonstrations given by Mr Techniquest, ably aided by our pupils. Electricity was seen to flow through humans; shadows were captured using UV light and zinc sulfide; plates changed colour due to thermochromic chemicals; and possibly the favourite, a piece of wire which had a mind all of its own.…

  • L6 Gold CREST Engineering Award 2018-19

    The Engineering Education Scheme is an initiative that brings together schools and industrial companies so that ‘would be engineers’, or students that wish to sample this avenue of employment, can work on substantial projects, whilst receiving support from a working engineer. Teams of four to eight students, usually from L6, work with engineers on the completion of the whole project from ‘brief’ to report.…

    R5 have been learning to skip. They enjoyed jumping over the rope and even had a skipping race. The second activity involved balancing and bouncing the tennis ball using a racket. All the children improved their skills. R5 enjoyed parading around the hall to show the older children their Easter hats.…
