  • R11 Enterprise Week

    26 December 2019

    R11 launched into December with a busy week of production, costing, marketing and advertising of their fantastic products. All teams were festive-themed: Make it Christmas, Six Rocking Reindeers, Crafty Candy Canes, Crazy Christmas, Pigs in Blankets and Santa’s Secret Service. All teams made lovely products, perfect for Christmas presents. On Friday, the teams set up their stalls ready for an afternoon of selling to pupils, family and friends.…

  • Junior Christmas Jumper Day

    Christmas jumper day was a huge success, children raised money for Crisis UK by wearing some very extravagant jumpers. Each house then took part in creating a larger than life jumper in which we all got very crafty. Ms Gordon-Smith judged the jumpers and Mostyn’s Advent calendar-style jumper won!   • Junior School Visit to the Sherman Theatre

    On Thursday, 12th December the Junior School pupils enjoyed a visit to the Sherman Theatre to watch the Snow Queen. We waited with anticipation for which character was going to appear on stage next! The performance was full of wonderful singing, extremely imaginative staging and exquisite costumes.     The latest meeting of the R11 Reading Group took place at the very end of term, where this time the topic for in-depth discussion was Sally Nicholls’ multiple award-winning debut Ways to Live Forever. Presented as a scrapbook from the perspective of Sam, an 11-year-old suffering from a very serious illness, the children found that, despite its subject, the novel’s warmth and humour stood out. …
