  • Further Success for Team Blackout at F1 in Schools Virtual National Finals.

    On Saturday morning, Team Blackout arrived bright and early at school to compete at the F1 in Schools National Finals. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, the competition was all virtual this year, with teams having to send their cars to HQ to race. The team looked very smart in their team polo shirts and custom Blackout face masks as they positioned the webcam ready for their interviews.…

    This week, the children in R7 have been thinking about autumn. They went on an autumn walk and collected crunchy, dry leaves, acorns, mossy sticks and twigs and lots of conkers, some of which were still in their prickly cases. They used these to have a go at the traditional game of ‘Conkers’ and they were surprised at how hard it was to hit their opponent’s conker!…

    The nursery children have been on an adventure this week in forest school taking part in a spider web hunt! We found lots of webs and met lots of friendly spiders. The children have had fun learning the letter sound s in Jolly phonics this week. The children made snakes in ‘creative alphabet’ and made a very long snake in outdoor learning.…

    On Thursday morning we welcomed back our Junior pupils. It was lovely to see such excited and cheerful children.  The morning was spent with our new form classes; sorting and preparing for the term and year ahead.  We then had year group assemblies where Mrs Thompson welcomed us back in lots of languages!…
