The Cathedral Choir We train both boy and girl choristers for the Cathedral Choirs to sing services in the Cathedral throughout the year. Highlights of the year were the choral exchange project with the Choir of St Bavo's Cathedral in Haarlem and the opening service for the Third National Assembly of Wales; two major concerts at Christmas and Easter in St David's International Concert Hall; and two major BBC broadcasts on Christmas Day and Pentecost.   SHMIS SHMIS is a constituent member of the Independent Schools Council - ISC - which accredits independent schools of suitable standing.  SHMIS has high selection criteria for membership.   Department for Education & Skills Department for Education & Skills Register of Providers The Department for Education and Skills has developed a Register which is a list of genuine education and training providers in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Pupils have unlimited access to a first-class schooling and musical training, giving them an excellent start in life. Just over 1,000 of a total of 15,000 boys and girls are choristers.
