R14 & R15 Trip to the Churchill War Rooms, London
On 19th April GCSE History pupils from R14 and R15 visited the Churchill War Rooms in London. The visit was part of their study of the role of Winston Churchill as wartime Prime Minister.
Wonderful weather in central London also allowed us to take a walk through Horse Guards Parade, along Whitehall past Downing Street and the Cenotaph.
Many thanks to Mrs Bryan-Jones, Miss Owen, Mr Turner, Mr Pavey and Mr Sturges for their support and to all the pupils for their impeccable behaviour.
May I express my particular thanks to Mr Taylor and Mrs Bryan-Jones for so kindly leading today’s trip on my behalf at this time of family bereavement, and to Miss Owen, Mr Turner, Mr Pavey and Mr Sturges for their greatly valued support.
Mr J. Neville
