  • R12 Geography Trip to Ryer’s Down on the Gower

    In April, R12 pupils took part in an investigation to find out if the Ryer’s Down area was a suitable location for a wind farm.  The pupils enjoyed pond dipping, tree beating and observing the wildlife.  The children took on the role of an ‘environmental impact surveyor’.  Pupils loved trudging through the mud and observing the numerous birds and animals. …

  • RHS Wheelbarrow Competition

    The Nursery children were thrilled to take part in this year’s 10th Anniversary Cardiff RHS Flower Show Schools Wheelbarrow Competition.  Our entry was an Alice in Wonderland themed wheelbarrow. The children had a very messy time making the modroc teacup and saucer and even wore their wellies to avoid getting their feet wet!…

    Congratulations to the R15 Tenner Project winning team, ‘H2 Woah’. The pupils made an impressive profit of over £350 from selling healthy water based drinks, from fresh organic local produce.     R15 pupils travelled to Bath for an informative day at The American Museum.  Upon arrival we entered an historically accurate tavern at the time of the American Civil War.  There we discussed how the history of slavery played an important part in the deplorable Jim Crow Laws in place at the beginning of the period we are studying in class.…

    This year our Lower Sixth form students have successfully set up and run exciting and innovative companies – Syzygy, Undergraduate Clothing and Masai. The students have, over the course of the academic year, gained “hands-on” experience of business life – raising and managing their finances; developing and marketing their product ranges and selling to the general public.…
