    At the end of each academic year, staff buy children in their class a present. This term we have been learning about sea life and we have therefore decided to sponsor a turtle nest in Cyprus. Our nest is already set up and eggs were laid on the 3rd July. The species are Loggerhead turtles.…

    Our talented young engineers from Infinity Racing visited Silverstone today ahead of the British F1 Grand Prix this Sunday. They had the opportunity to tour the famous circuit and meet F1 legends such as Jonny Herbert, Lewis Hamilton and Sir Frank Williams to name but a few. Today’s visit was a special invitation in recognition of their victory at the National Finals of F1 in Schools earlier this year.…

  • R10 Trip to ‘Go Ape!’

    Children from R10 enjoyed a fantastic end of year trip to Go Ape in the Forest of Dean on the 11th July. All of the children (and teachers!) showed their adventurous sides as they challenged themselves to complete the two high ropes courses, tackling the many unsteady and challenging obstacles.   • R11 Residential Trip to Powys

    R11 enjoyed a fantastic three days with Brenin Adventures in Llandinam, Powys. They stayed at Broneirion Hall where they had the use of a great games room as well as the well-equipped bedrooms and the lovely grounds of the hall. It was an action-packed visit with activities that included canoeing, raft building, gorge walking and bushcraft, as well as evening fun such as following an obstacle course blindfolded, zip wire challenges and orienteering.…

    The Nursery and Infant children spent a wonderful afternoon on the school playing fields. We visited the new pavilion before enjoying a picnic lunch. The children then participated in games of football and frisbee. They enjoyed playing parachute games and ‘duck, duck, goose’.   • Junior School Lego Day

    The Juniors enjoyed another successful Lego day with the Creative Builders workshop. The children all built a particular element of a city from an Olympic size swimming pool, apartment blocks, police stations and even a rocket centre and the Taj Mahal. In the other part of the day the children enjoyed getting to know our school a little better by completing a treasure hunt.…

  • R8 Geography Trip to Oxwich Bay

    As part of their Geography studies, R8 visited Oxwich Bay to investigate ‘Wonderful Weather’. We used specialist instruments to learn about air pressure, temperature, humidity and wind speed. A particular favourite was using the air pressure rocket to see who could send their rocket the highest! We also enjoyed using the heat of the sun to inflate a solar balloon.…
