Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme
The Duke of Edinburgh programme is the world’s leading youth achievement award aimed at inspiring young people from all walks of life. The DofE award is highly valued by employers, colleges and universities and can help young people stand out from the crowd.
The DofE is all about going the extra mile – gaining new skills, pushing yourself physically, helping others and exploring new territories. At the same time, you’ll gather friendships, experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
St John’s is delighted to announce the reintroduction of the Award programme in school as of 2017. The award is coordinated in school by Ms R Thomas and assisted by Mr A Pavey with the support of a number of staff.
Any student taking part in the Award are expected to attend regular meetings to ensure that students cover the necessary components to complete all sections of the award.
