As part of the whole school’s Remembrance Commemorations for 2025, some of the R7s took time to reflect on the importance of honouring those who served. They visited the Old St Mellons War Memorial, paying their respects to those from the local community who gave their lives in war and conflict.

The pupils spent time learning about the history of the memorial, observing the names engraved there, and thinking about the sacrifices made to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.

Their visit formed a meaningful contribution to the school’s shared commitment to remembrance, reflection, and gratitude.
