To mark Children's Mental Health Week 2026, we have held assemblies with pupils across the whole school, sharing the importance of belonging and community.
In assemblies, we have thought about the difference between 'fitting in' versus 'to belong'. The pupils gave some great examples as well as identifying places that they belong.
We created a video clip to share with pupils in assembly from the cast of Les Misérables, sharing the importance of being part of the show. It was a clear demonstration of their belonging and the special place that Les Mis has created for all of our pupils.
We also invited pupils in the Senior School to speak at different year group assemblies. They spoke beautifully about a place that mattered to them, Penarth Pier, a picture of their dog on a walk, Cardiff Castle and the slopes of Whistler. Thank you to all the pupils who took part.
