On Saturday, 20th June, St John's College sent two teams - SJC Knights and SJC Squires, along with two individuals, to participate in the Welsh Primary School Chess Championship (2026) and the individual championship.

Team Members:

SJC Knights: B1-Lucas, B2-Aya, B3-Ahmed, B4-Anjali

SJC Squires: B1-Hugo, B2-Jack, B3-Henry, B4-Hadera

Individual: Niranjan, Harishan

We are very proud of all our players for their excellent performance, particularly considering the young age of some of them. Special congratulations to the SJC Knights for maintaining their excellent performance from last year and achieving a shared third place among 22 representative teams across Wales.
