Five of our pupils - James C (R13L), Adam S (R13R), Lucas Z (R11T), Yimo L (R14N) and Angel S (R14K) - have been selected to join the National Junior Chess Squad representing Wales. Together they make up a quarter of the national squad, the largest proportion from any single school!

This summer they will compete in the prestigious Glorney Cup, an annual international junior chess tournament featuring teams from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

We are immensely proud of this achievement and the continued success of our chess players here at St John's College.
