A huge congratulations to Lucas for his outstanding performance at the UKCC Terafinal Challengers in Daventry this weekend!

After qualifying from the Gigafinals, Lucas competed in the U10 section — one of the toughest junior chess tournaments in the UK, with rapid-play matches lasting up to an hour each.

Among 56 top players from across the country, Lucas achieved an incredible 7.5/9, earning the title of U10 Challenger Champion! 🎉

Only 12 players nationwide will progress to the prestigious Terafinal at Blenheim Palace — and Lucas is not only among them but also the only Welsh player to do so since the new qualification format began in 2021. 🇬🇧🐉
