R12 had a lovely sunny day for their field trip to Porthcawl.
The pupils worked in groups to collect data about the types of shops in the town centre, carry out pedestrian counts and observe the changes taking place.
After a visit to the Breakwater and a lunch stop, we made our way to Sandy Bay, where pupils carried out surveys to find out about the different types of coastal defence protecting the coast. Luckily, we found time for an ice cream along the seafront before returning to St John's!
